Vinyasa Foundations
For new practitioners or any yogi looking to refresh their fundamentals. Vinyasa is a fluid style of yoga that asks practitioners to attach each inhale and exhale to a movement pattern. Postures are often linked together with a set of movements called a “flow”. Because this is a foundations class, both breathing and movement will be slow and simple, allowing practitioners to focus on learning the names, cues and healthy anatomical alignment for a range of basic yoga postures.

----------------------

Vinyasa II
For yogis seeking a challenge. This heated class intends to further expand the practitioner’s knowledge of postures, healthy alignment and effective use of breath to enhance movement. Students are encouraged to explore the boundaries and limitations of their physical and mental being, while remaining mindful and meditative throughout their practice.

----------------------

Hatha I
Hatha is a style of yoga that asks practitioners to hold each posture for multiple cycles of breath. Postures may be linked together, but are rarely repeated and are sequenced in a way that gives emphasis to only one posture at a time. This class intends to expand the practitioner’s library of postures, offering more challenge in strength and flexibility than Gentle Hatha. We always encourage students to remain mindful and listen to their bodies regardless of the pace or intensity of the class.

----------------------

Hatha II

For yogis seeking a challenge. This heated class intends to further expand the practitioner’s knowledge of postures, healthy alignment and subtle body awareness. The element of stillness within the strong postural practice is meant to bring the student into a deep state of mindfulness. Students are encouraged to explore the boundaries and limitations of their physical and mental being, while remaining mindful and meditative throughout their practice.

Yin

Yin Yoga uses long, passive holds to release tension in the deep, dense connective tissues of the body. This is a quiet, calm practice that settles you into supported poses for 3-10 minutes, bringing attention and focus inward. Yin yoga increases flexibility, especially in the spine and hips and helps restore and rehabilitate joints and muscles. This practice emphasizes stillness and quiet, as it prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation.

----------------------

Release + Restore
This class combines elements of restorative practice with myofascial release techniques and yin yoga postures. The intention here is to guide practitioners through their bodies and release tension in the muscles and bring flexibility to the joints using various techniques. It is focused on creating a more intimate relationship with the body through the practice and the breath.
----------------------

Vinyasa + Nidra
This class combines two complementary practices. Vinyasa is a fluid style of yoga that asks practitioners to attach each inhale and exhale to a movement pattern. Postures are often linked together with a set of movements called a “flow”. The vinyasa portion of this class is considered all-levels and modifications will be offered. Yoga nidra meditation invites practitioners to explore a state between sleeping and waking, where the body is completely at rest and the senses are focused inward. Nidra mimics the effect of REM sleep, leaving practitioners’ minds and bodies calm and restored.
----------------------

Yoga Tune-Up
Certified Yoga Tune Up® and Roll Model Method® instructor, Catherine de Marin, guides you through an in-depth exploration of your posture, range of motion, strength and flexibility. Practitioners learn myofascial self-massage techniques using various Yoga Tune Up Therapy balls. These tools will help you to release areas of chronic tension, reduce physical imbalances, improve posture and reduce pain.

 Yoga Body Lab
Under the umbrella of yoga, this non-traditional class will enhance all of your current movement practices. Using your body as the laboratory, we strengthen, stabilize and uncover imbalances. This process promotes resilience, mobility and balance, ultimately aiming to prevent injury. We employ techniques from a variety of movement disciplines, as well as the more traditional yoga postures, centered around the theme of core awareness and integration. Using the idea that “precision drives intensity” the Yoga Body Lab will help you feel areas of your body that have not been awakened in years. Elizabeth brings years of experience as a teacher in the professional fitness world and is a Master trainer for TRX.

Vinyasa I
Building upon our Vinyasa Foundations, this class offers a quicker pace and intends to expand the practitioner’s library of postures and movements. There is still a strong emphasis on anatomical alignment and effective use of breath to enhance the movements. We always encourage our students to remain mindful and listen to their bodies regardless of the pace or intensity of the class.
----------------------

Gentle Hatha
For new practitioners or yogis who believe they might benefit from decreasing the pace and intensity of their practice. Hatha is a style of yoga that asks practitioners to hold each posture for multiple cycles of breath. Postures may be linked together, but are rarely repeated and are sequenced in a way that gives emphasis to only one posture at a time. Because this is a gentle class, the postures offered will be simple and focused on stability and balance. Our emphasis in this class is on learning proper anatomical alignment and building body awareness so that strength and flexibility can come naturally and safely.
----------------------

Hot Hatha Fusion
This heated class offers postures, challenges and stillness similar to our Hatha I. The “fusion” aspect means that there may be some more Vinyasa-like elements in the sequence such as flowing movements or linking postures. The element of heat presents an additional physical and mental challenge, but may also allow practitioners a greater range of motion. We always encourage our students to remain mindful and listen to their bodies regardless of the pace or intensity of the class.
----------------------

Hot Fusion Strength
This heated class offers postures, challenges and stillness similar to our Hatha I. The “fusion” aspect means that there may be some more Vinyasa-like elements in the sequence such as flowing movements or linking postures. The element of heat presents an additional physical and mental challenge, but may also allow practitioners a greater range of motion. We always encourage our students to remain mindful and listen to their bodies regardless of the pace or intensity of the class.
----------------------

Restorative + Nidra
Restorative yoga is an invitation to slow down, relax, and fully experience the calm, healing effects of complete mental and physical release. Props, such as bolsters and blankets, allow the body to feel comfortable and supported during long-held, restful postures. There is no effort, there is no discomfort, there is no challenge other than to completely relax. Yoga nidra meditation invites practitioners to explore a state between sleeping and waking, where the body is completely at rest and the senses are focused inward. Nidra mimics the effect of REM sleep, leaving practitioners’ minds and bodies calm and restored.

Yoga For Health and Healing
This class will guide practitioners on a journey of self-healing through movement, breathing, relaxation, and deep self-inquiry. Through this process of experiential self-exploration, the student will learn yoga techniques for healthy movement, pain reduction, stress relief and immune support. We recommend this class for yogis who are suffering from stress, chronic pain, injury, autoimmune disease, depression or anxiety. Each student is given personal attention with adaptations for each exercise according to individual needs. Our intention is to leave practitioners feeling stronger, more energetic, hopeful, focused, and relaxed.

Bliss Mat
This cardio-based mat workout incorporates Pilates classical exercises & principles in a continuous flowing format. This fast-paced class is designed to build your strength, balance, coordination and stamina. We use body weight, light hand weights, bands and balls to provide a variety of stimuli for your body and your mind.
----------------------

Mindful Vinyasa
This class provides an opportunity to mindfully examine your Vinyasa practice, identifying the components that help you to feel your best and aiming to maximize their effectiveness. We recommend that you are familiar with Vinyasa yoga, but there is no need to be an expert. The only requirements are an open mind and a desire to move more efficiently and feel better in your body & your life. Tiffany Cruikshank, founder of Yoga Medicine, teaches internationally at conferences & trainings – this class is only offered when she is in town, so please check the schedule for details.
----------------------

Moving Into Meditation
This class applies basic yoga postures and movement, supported by focused breathing, to prepare the body for meditation. Using the body and breath as anchors for awareness, we open ourselves to the power of stillness that comes through meditative practice. Each class will include basic instructions, guided meditation, some walking meditation and time for sharing and Q & A. When practiced regularly, meditation can help us to become calmer, clearer and more open in our daily lives. No prior experience of yoga or meditation is necessary, and we welcome those with an established practice to please join us.
