What is Yoga?

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root “yuj” which means to bind, yoke or join together. It is often defined as the “true union” – the communion of the inner consciousness with a higher consciousness; the body with the mind.

Yoga is a way of living that opens us to a life which allows self-development, self- exploration and self-awakening. It is surrendering and relaxing into the understanding that we are a small piece of a larger plan.

The beauty of Yoga is that the “process” begins wherever you are. Yoga is for everyone and is adaptable to suit each individual’s needs.

It is being fully present to what “is.”

It is a joyous awakening to life.
